Some foreign citizens traveling on tourist visas and entering Russia in 2005-2006 through Samara International Airport (passengers on direct international flights) faced unusual entry rules. A foreign tourist entering Samara must have original tourist invitation and tourist voucher mentioning full itinerary, hotel address or the telephone number and address of a local tourist company. Foreign tourists, who traveled to Samara by domestic transport (internal Russian trains or airlines) are not checked in this way. It seems the problem no longer exist.
