Samara International Airport

Samara has only one airport, which is used both for international and domestic flights. Airport "Samara" is the air gateway of Samara and Togliatti.

The old abbreviation of Samara (Kurumoch) airport mentioned in most of flight booking systems is (KUF) which stands for Kuibyshev, the former Soviet times name of Samara. Kurumoch International Airport is the largest and busiest airport of the Central Volga region and ranks among Russia's top ten airports. It has an extensive route network to practically all the regions of the Russian Federation as well as neighbouring and distant countries.There are regular flights to Frankfurt, Prague, Sharjah, Tel Aviv, SHARM EL-SHEIKH and some other countries. The airport "Samara" with its facilities is able to handle most of the aircrafts. Within the air terminal there is a hotel, a guarded parking, a restaurant.

The airport is located 56 km from Samara and about 45 km from Togliatti. There are no regular bus lines between airport and nearby cities. Taxi service is avaiable.

Samara International Airport

In 1997 the International Departure and Transit Lounge was built and put into operation, which caused a considerable increase of passenger flow. It alalows staying of international transit passengers at the airport without going through the customs and border controls.
Much attention is being paid to the development of cargo infrastructure: to provide full range of transport services to both general public and business companies the new logistics system unique for Russia is being developed. The first terminal of this system will be placed at SAMARA INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (KUF)
